      It's possible. <Google music>

      Found the old thread:-

      Uni-joint replace number

      Tod's got a NAPA Precision U-Joint number: PUJ 392
If it's the same one, it's $25 and it has a Zerk you have to remove after filling the joint.

      Part Number: PUJ 392
      Product Line: NAPA Ujoints

Stick a flush-mount Zerk on it and lose the snap-coupler.

The Tech Library over at the Yamaha Venture site has a "cross"-reference list too:-

Yeah, I'm actually going to need one of them Real Soon Now so this is a timely thread.

I've got that custom driveshaft u-joint yoke I had welded up for the '750/'850 FD mod so it's not as wobbly as the stock XS11 yoke with a spacer. It's easier to replace a slightly worn u-joint cross than it is to fab up another driveshaft yoke because I let it go too long and wallowed the splines in the yoke.

I've been running the copper spacer for more than 4 years and estimated 50K miles now without any issue.

            Just sayin'.

Well over 100k on this motor since rebuild.. 6th year running it. It'd be hard for me to believe anyone's been harder on one than me, though I've mellowed considerably last couple years.

              Main clutch shaft bearings destroyed

750 type 1 Final drive gear geometry changed just a bit. (I don't think they like wheelies)

This is the 3rd motor this driveshaft has been attached to, and the spacer last time I looked at it.. still pretty.

Many things in life to worry about. This copper spacer doesn't seem to be one of them. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I know, you and a lot of other's have done that and more with the spacer but I'm keeping the custom yoke. It has a lot of sentimental value and I'd hate to lose it.

At the time when I first did the '750 mod I wasn't happy with the spacer because I don't like a wobble, not even small amounts. I carefully measured the driveshaft wobble/run-out in the yoke with the spacer and posted pictures around here somewhere.

To get rid of the spacer, I cut off the end of a junk u-joint yoke to extend the splines back down to where they're supposed to be on the driveshaft, then drilled and pinned and JB Welded it in place. The JB Weld eventually cracked so I had it MIG welded and after I drop in another u-joint cross I'm pretty sure it'll outlast me by at least another decade.

And if anyone has a trash U-joint they are going to throw away, I would like to have it, so I can be like Scott, but not as hard on the machine. (I've followed him a ways, and seen what goes on).
Anyway, I would be happy to pay postage for the splined part, or the whole thing if it isn't taken apart.
PM me or let me know here, and I can get the postage to you.
                  Thanks,, CZ
