Mm... I don't think I like it, actually! In my mind, it's always been 'the forum'. Mainly since I only go on the one.

Been around here since WAY before you my friend.

How do you figure it "trivializes" anything about this site? If anything, arguing about a slang designation is trivial.

No temper involved James, I just don't get what your trying to say. Why does a slang designation that has been used for years trivialize the people here? We came up with it.

This forum is tame. Not much in the way of flaming goes on here. I've been to quite a few gatherings of folks from this forum, and every one is like a family reunion, except that we actually do like each other. There are lots of hugs and kind words passed around at an XS11.com rally. If someone is in need, I don't think I need to tell you about the selflessness that can be found in this group.

FWIW James, I thought nothing of the exchange between you and Greg. Brothers get at each other sometimes.

I concur. The term Ch. 11 has been around since I've joined. We always use to tell the newbies welcome to channel 11. It was never meant to trivalize the people or any of the drama. You want to see drama go over to arboristsite.com. You wouldn't believe te drama that happens there lol.

ah, you came up with it. ok, Channel 11 it is then. Crikey, it was an off the cuff comment, no depth, facile, superficial...hadn't heard it before...I've been here about the same length of time as you have, since 2010 and hadn't come across the phrase ever before and was confused by it and had to ask what it meant. That's all. OK?, enough said? Or is this one going to go on and on and on?? Jeez, we have Iran, Iraq, Syria, Gaza Strip, Ebola virus and even I am still harping on about what a forum is called..... Channel 11..good...I like it now....

I've actually bee on the board since early 09, I've changed names a couple times since then. Long story....

I actually was referring to this board being referred to as ch. 11 being around longer, longer than both of us. People here were using it when I arrived.
