It would take a pretty good hit to bend it however I've seen it before.

This is RockinD's frame we swapped out on his SG. Notice how the rear part of the frame is bent down.

I was back looking at the pics of your tire being off center Done, if you look at the mufflers and the spacing between the fender it looks like it is bent. Unless your mufflers are that far off center.



It actually looks like that left muffler is closer to the tire than the right but the fender spacing is wider.

Yes muffs tend to move around a bit.
Yes the fender is a bit tweaked to the rt..
Noticed the passenger grab rail has a worn down spot on the upper left corner, pretty good one too.
But all that does not account for the amount of off center of the tire compared to the rest of the bike, except for the worn down spot on the grab bar, might be a clue as to what the bikes been through. Concerning the possible bend in the rear upper frame rails.
Did just take it through the curves and feels fine.

That part of the frame being bent won't affect the handling, fortunately.

Hopefully it's just the fender.

Try two straight edges either side of front and rear wheels, tell for sure that way.

Have not had a chance to check the frame, just took a look with the seat off and other than a little paint chip next to the weld that holds the rear upper frame I can't tell if it's bent, that chip might be a clue ?
Don't know if I should call The Shop or buy a long straight bit of steel to check the front to rear wheel alignment.

+1 one what Tom says. Do a straight edge off the wheels to see if they are aligned. You can also be creative and sprinkle flour or something on the ground and roll it thru that to see the tracking of the rear wheel after the front wheel passes thru. That will tell you if the wheels are aligned or not. If the swingarm is properly set and every spacer is accounted for then you may have a bent frame.

Well this bike has been through much, just found this $79.95 engraved on the middle gear housing ?
Still need to check alignment etc.

It was the seat rails, once everything was off the back it was easy to see.
Took a look at my just bought parts bike and checked align on it (good). Took measurements and used a 1X1/8" bit of aluminum to check both bikes. My seat rails were off 7/8". Used a 4X4 and a 3 1/2 lb. hand sledge and now it checks just fine and looks right. Checked all electrical connections greased them, all is well.

P.S. Checked the TCI (black box) from the parts bike and it fired my LH right up.

FYI, Those seat rails can crack next to the factory welds.
