Would the countershaft gear set assembly from a 1980 XS1100L MNS work in my 78 1100e?

Be sure and look CLOSELY at those gear 'dogs' of the Midnite assembly. Don't forget to swap the washer from one side of 2nd gear to the other.Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.
