Go up 2 sizes the mains, re-check the floats levels(with a tube on each carb, with the carbs level in a vise), and start with the screws out at 1 1/2 turns.
I almost always start with the idle set a little high so it will not stall when doing the first adjustments. as it gets a little better, you turn the idle down and keep going. For a "new" set of carbs, it can take two to three hours to get them dialed in.
I've been under the impression that the mains only matter when under HEAVY throttle, like 2/3 or more.

I can't even make it to 1/2 throttle it seems like!

That jet must be gold plated for $16 for one jet! I paid 2.50 per jet at a dealership for the genuine mikuni pilot jets. That add also does not say they are genuine mikuni.

The add also says that it is a stock picture and not necessarily a pic of the real product.

That is one of the problems when you are making major changes to the system. You really need to buy a bunch of different jet sizes and work through the sizes as you tun until you get it.

I have NOT seen that! Thanks!

So according to that, I should go UP FOUR main jet sizes from stock (3 for pods, and 2 for opend headers minus 1) and UP ONE pilot jet size?

Does that seem OK to everyone?? (:

I wanna order jets and get this monster rollin!

                      OH MORE INFO AGAIN!

The mains I got looked more like main air jets... like they are smaller in overall outer diameter than the oines I replaced and they are the exact same size as the air jets, but with a smaller hole obviously...

The plastic bag they came in said MIKUNI MAIN JETS on them and seemed official...

Maybe they meant main AIR jets???

                      Thanks for those links though!

As soon as I figure out what sizes to get next I'll order from there... Fast shipping??

The jets we use as air jets are call "Mikuni Small Round Main Jets". The jets we usr as main jets are called "Mikuni Large Round Main Jets". It just determines the size of the head of the jet I believe, I do not think it changes anything in the metering orifice.

That makes sense, I figured it didn't matter, it sealed around the head with the brass washer thing in there, and it is the hole that counts right? haha

Those are the SMALL Mikunis, used on older single cyl. two strokes.....but are used for the air jet in back of carb bell on these vacuum slide carbs, which should be 185's........47.5's for pilots stock.

                                SO:

Does anyone dispute the idea of getting these pilots:
                                ONE LARGER THAN STOCK
                                http://www.buyatvpartsonline.com/mik...0-p-18261.html

                                and these mains:
                                FOUR LARGER THAN STOCK
                                http://www.buyatvpartsonline.com/mik...5-p-18185.html

EVEN though my bike wont even want to start with the current 3 over pilots, and the pilot fuel screw one turn out?

I read somewhere that you should only get smaller pilots of you can screw the pilot screw in all the way and the bike still runs.. is that false info too?!

Those jet choices are according to the recommendation chart supplied earlier.
