Since I had to replace the tire, I thought I had best service everything while there. Since I don't have new seals, I simply checked the swingarm bearings, making sure they turn smoothly.
Replacing the swingarm, I got it centered. Here is where I got my measurements.

I have about 7 mm on each side.

The right side shaft pivot #5 is screwed in so far that the lock nut #6 won't thread all the way down. On the left, it's way out.
OK, what gives? There is no other place I can get a measurement.
