    Nate,

The aux terminals are handy...the brass screw terminals for connecting bare wired devices. The glass fuse holder is bypassed, but it's routed thru the new fuseblock.....IIRC, take the (+) that would go to the AUX junction, ran it to one side of the new block, then took the (+) from the other side of the fuseblock, ran it to the positive SCREW terminal. Then just ran the negative from the Negative screw terminal back to a frame ground. This bypasses the glass fuse holder, but still retains the screw terminals functionality and is solid atco fused via the new block!

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree TC, I say just wire it is fully instead of messing with the acc lugs.

        Variant on Aux. Fuse

From one of my older post's:

Got an idea late last night to update the Aux. Fuse Holder

Had one of these in my electrical stash

Bent some ears on the stock fuse holder brackets

Zipped tied the new fuse holder in place

        Notched with dremel for wires

        Connected

        Nice and flush

Had to clearance the plate a little

        And installed

        Almost done...again

        Now I'm done

        Thanxs for watching [/QUOTE]

Good on you for figuring out that fix. Still wonder why you never just went into your fuse box as you have a few empty spaces in it though. Seems to me to be easier and package everything under one cover so to speak. I am a just check in one place kind of guy, if I could wire every fuse into the one fuse box I would do it in a heartbeat.

I think we might be losing site of the purpose of the aux. Terminal.

It's there for temporary/ semi permanent hook ups like a CB or a cigarette lighter or GPS that you might not want to permanently mount to the bike.

            In those cases it's perfect.

Also if your your fuse box is full, then the aux Terminal is another hook up site.

If you're refering to my Aux. Fuse mod, I'll need the extra circut in the future.

fusing the AUX terminal might be ok but you need to know which screw is pos./neg. replace one screw with a cross point? (Phillips) then you would have + - screws
where are we going, and why are we in this hand basket?

If you'll look a little closer at this photo, just below the screws you will see raised - and + symbols, Positive on the right, Negative on the left. Your idea is pretty good, but I would suggest just taking a dremel and grind a cross slot on the top of the + screw and it'll be like you said, and will have the original brass screws.
