None of the kits have that big O-ring, you'll have to match it up down at your local supplier. Someone here may know the correct size. Don't forget to use a little RTV sealer on the new ring to prevent fluid seep.

      Mike,

I found the o'ring for under the reservoir at my local Ace Hardware. I suggest you do the same. Putting the old one back and calling it good is asking for trouble.

        Found one

Yeah, using the old one was not an option. I have an o-ring kit and was lucky enough to have the right size in it. Good idea about the RTV sealer. I am a little concerned about some minor pitting in the bore nearest the snap ring. I polished the bore with some fine emory cloth, but there is still a little pitting in the bore. I guess I will have to see if it leaks. If so, I will have to find another M/C.

          M/C Rebuild

Rebuilt and installed the M/C and bled the system. Pedal height came up and I believe that the problem has been solved. Will have to ride it to know for sure.

Can't decide whether or not to rebuild caliper. I did notice that the pads have been replaced with EBC. Not that many miles on the bike but it is 32 years in service and I do not know if the caliper has been apart before.
