1st Carb Rebuild (Need Help)

Plenty of people here are afraid to tear into the carbs and spend several hundred dollars having a "professional" do it. Well the problems is that most of these "professionals" are younger than the bike and have no idea what to do with them so you end up paying them.labor to learns. Then when they get the carbs back on the bike it still doesn't work. If they are smart they start learning at this point and tear them down themselves now bit some are stubborn and keep dumping money into them at shops.

Take lots of pictures for reference (both for yourself and for us), take your time, read the tech tip here and the manual, and ASK US QUESTIONS!

Hi-- Besides these great guys on this site, I found this video to alleviate some fears, and give me some courage to tackle the xs carb rack. My bike runs super strong and smooth. You must use genuine Mikuni pilot jets!

Carbs

I may have missed it but, what do your plugs look like?
What are your c-clip settings on your needles?
Did you do the leak tests before mounting them?
I've never relied on a measurement for float heights. I set mine manually with hoses. They are different from set to set and carb to carb within a set. But I have OCD, so if it's not perfect then I can't seem to walk away and say ahhh that's close enough.
