Trying to keep costs down for my carb customers and noticed that the damn float needles (80's) seem like they are more expensive every time I go to buy them. Was wondering if anyone had found any good sources (like the boats.net shaft seals). Right now it is looking like Mikes is the cheapest at $5 ea. TIA, Jessie

Jessie,
Is it just an old wives tale that you need to replace the needle and the seat together?

The viton tip needles can be replaced without replacing the seat, if the seat is still in good condition. If you have the brass needles and seats, it's best to replace both. You CAN "clean up" the seat, but you need to know what you are trying to do, and have the proper, fine grit paper/stone to do it. JMHORay Matteis

Yep, those are cheap because they are brass needles for early 11's. Again this is for the 80's carbs. I appreciate all the help.
