How many were using the old glass fuses and running, or sitting in a farm field? Until TC and others came up with a much better option and about everyone I know of has upgraded to the new style fuse box.
Maybe not on an XS11, but I can assure you there are twenty times as many electronic fuel valves in use than there are vacuum fuel valves. These style of valves are common on about every RV, some cars, and guaranteed to be on every fuel oil system feeding the emergency generators in a building. Not to mention the ones in similar application on water systems.
Just because something new comes along, does not mean the old system is not functional, just that it may not be as desirable to some. Again, my point is not to dis on the Pingel valve, never used it. But I know how useless the factory OCTY has been on every bike I have owned. And if this piece gets the job done for half the price, sounds like a bargain to me. I would be willing to bet the solenoid on that valve will out live the diaphram in any stock OCTY.
