I ended up buying mine at BikeBandit.com I think MikesXS has them a little cheaper but not by much. It's real hard to find a screw that you can modify to fit. They are a real bugger to get sealed up cause they are such a precision fit.

You buy them here at MikesXS

"The Hooligan" XJ1100, Virago Gauge Pods, Screaming Eagle Mufflers, K&N Filter, hand made rear fender, side covers, and solo seat, round bar conversion, small headlight, tail light, and cat eye turn signals, chip fuses, rewired the right way.

Not the drain screw- the 4 screws that hold the float bowl on.

JIS head, 5 X .8 mm thread, 14mm long, with split lock washer.
Another mm or so in length won't hurt you, I wouldn't go under that. The head is a JIS must.
Most well stocked Ace Hardware stores will have metric screws. Take the bowl with you to see if the head fits.
Crazy Steve was selling stainless steel Allen heads for the carbs, and he might still have some. A PM would answer that question.

As CZ stated, AceHardware or Tru-Valu HAS what your wanting. I went with stainless allen head screws from there. Lots of choices in their 'specialty' trays.

All metrics are not necessarily alike, and so it becomes necessary to distinguish between metric sizes at times. In this case, the head size is important, due to the place it fits into.

Right, I was just answering the question so that others would know what it was. Steve's machine screws are the answer.
