  • Grounds

Hey guys ,On a 81 special where are the ground wires to the frame connected.I think I read somewhere there are 4.

the neg from battery goes to frame near where the key lock
    for the side cover is,
then theres another from the frame to the middle drive,
then theres a few ground wires that attach under the reg.

      Battery Grounds

Do yourself a favor and ensure that all of the grounds that you install are grounded directly to the battery. Simply run a cable from where the original ground from the battery to the chassis goes to the chassis attachment points of the other chassis grounds.

The idea here is to have direct battery grounds rather than inefficient chassis grounds. Trust me, you will be glad that you made this change. Battery will stay charged better and your entire electrical system performance will be enhanced.

        Battery Grounds

For a better explanation of battery grounds, see the post below on this (XS11.com) site. If the link below does not work, use the search feature and type in battery grounds and look for the "Believe it or Not" post.
