Did you switch the whole cluster with another known working unit and it did the same thing?
What happens when you push the check switch, does it try to cycle through the checks?
There is a ground for the microcomputer (black wire) in the harness from it. I don't know where it gets it's ground but if that contact is lost it might trigger all the warnings. Just some thoughts.

What does it do when it cycles through the checks? Mine has never worked right and I don't know what exactly how it is supposed to act.

Yeah, I completely swapped out the whole cluster as well as tried another ignition switch. Nothing happens when I push the button to cycle it through the checks. Red light stays on as well as all the other warnings for brake, headlight, battery, fuel, etc.. I've pulled and pushed on all the wires in the harness from the front headlight bucket to back taillight. No change.

I'm done with it for the night. Even tried a different TCI in it. I'll check the alternator/brushes tomorrow. PITA with the crash guards I have on.

The wiring diagram shows the processor must get a signal or voltage (white wire) from the generator.
I have an extra cluster and took it apart thinking the monitor got it's ground through the cluster to mounting bolts. That does not appear to be the case. There are 3 black wires running out from the monitor through the 4 harnesses so which one is ground I don't know.

Key On-not running all the monitored circuits will be on/lit.
On start up- the LCD will light each of seven components it checks. Example, if brake fluid is low that will stay lit after check and red warning light above LCD will start flashing.
The check switch does the same thing if you want to re-check the components manually.

I'm at a loss. I've checked all the grounds, wiggled every wire, tried a different TCI, Swapped out the gauges, swapped out the ignition switch, checked the alternator brushes... Nothing fixes the problem.

As Arlan stated, there are 4 black wires coming out of the back of the display, so I made a pigtail and took turns hooking one side of a jumper wire into the plug at the black wire and the other end connected straight to the negative battery post. No change after doing this with all four.

What happens if you push the warning control button. With a fault showing it's suppose to flash the red light right away, you said it's on steady. When you push it the light should go from flashing to steady, push it again red light should go out but warnings will still be displayed. Three steps to the warning control button.

Another thought, you were saying about turn signals slowing down like a drain, the flasher relay is involved with the monitor and I think it could feed battery voltage to the monitor if faulty. The relay is three prong ??under seat somewhere. If you have a spare try changing that in case the relay is faulty.

That's all I got right now

Arlen has a god idea there, unplug everything that is monitored one at a time
and see if one makes a difference.

Another thought, you don't have a battery with a sensor on it, so that wiring has to be stashed somewhere. Make sure that hasn't been shorted to ground or power somehow.

The flasher is a car flasher and I'm using only 2 of the prongs. The lights on the dash are on.. all of them, and pushing buttons and trying to turn the red light off or make it cycle does nothing. But... the hi beam indicator light and fuel gauge on the display works.

I guess I'll try removing what indicators are left that I haven't already disconnected. No oil, brake, or battery sensors are hooked up. Those three always got an automatic fail on startup, but I'd just turn the light out.

There has to be an electronic control module for that thing to run through it's checks.

Where is that located? Is it integral with the dash unit or is it somewhere else on the bike?
