I put mine on tonight. The connectors he sells with the blocks are nice but farily difficult to get crimped down tight. I had a problem with a couple of them.

Actually, the blue connectors are for the larger gauge wire. The connectors for the smaller gauge wires are red (pink). Getting the blue ones tight is a little more of a challenge. They work, just be advised they're larger than necessary.

A few years ago, when I first joined the site, there was a local XSive that could not get his bike to start after installing the new fuse box. I went over and looked at it with him, used my meter to trace out the problem. Voltage followed right along to the fuse box, through the new fuse to. After about fifteen minutes of tracing wires we found that one of his crimp connectors was not tight. Wire pulled right out. Put on a new crimp connector and it started right up.
And that is why you always give the wire a tug after putting a connector on.

To be honest Nate, it may not have been THAT loose. But it was loose enough to give intermitent contact at best.

TC kindly supplies you with the blue ones. If you want the smaller ones, you have to procure them yourself. I bought them at my local Ace Hardware.

AS TC mentions in the coorespondance when I ordered mine, Easy to just double over the thinner wire and crimps nicely in the blue connector.

My bike was dead as a doornail, and after replacing the fuse block, I was a happy camper when I turned the key, and the neutral light came one, cranked it over and the oil light went out, and the brake light worked (from the foot brake) as well as the left and right turns front and back

And this was from that basket case that some had seen in my initial post here, and all that from just the new fuse block.

And yep pulled the plugs, and there be spark also.
