it's now in the mail to you, Courtney, and will be with you in 10 days or so....a low value GIFT, according to the customs label.

That was very noble of you re the last one! I have my spies out permanently on the lookout, so I will hopefully get another cache ASAP. How many, I don't know, but I'll post here if they get some.

Please let me know when your bearing gets to you........

      And then there were eight

      Hail, XSives

Good news. I've just acquired another 8 bearings from Japan. If anyone wants one, please PM me. After that, I'll list any leftovers on eBay, as not all XS owners are XSives! First bite here though, of course...

Bearing arrived today James, it's all good! That was damn quick! Can't remember exactly when I ordered it, but it was well within 2 weeks delivery time from the mother country. Thanks from the colonies!

You are most welcome, Courtney. Believe me, one day you will be pleased you have that bearing. An XSive in Norway had his bike off the road for over 3 months when his OEM bearing broke. The he discovered Captain Unobtanium, the bearing superhero, and was able to finally get back on the road. Guard it well!

Ps if I'm ever lucky enough to visit Canada (which I must say, looks a great place), can I drop by??

                  Hi James,

I'll grab one of those bad boy bearings before they all go!!!

Postage from the USA takes 14 days, lets see if mother England can out do the might of the US.

I reckon I'll most probably need one for my new project, which reduces the stock further. But, as usual, my scouts are out and should find more....

I do still have a few available, if anyone needs any.

It's combined might really though...Royal Mail passes packages to USPS and vice versa. They both do astonishingly well together, I've found, and provide an inexpensive, fast and reliable method of international deliveries of these small packets

and on a side note: I've been researching bearing alternatives and I've found Bearings with the same ID and OD but in differing widths, 17 mm. in sealed and (don't quote me on this) 32 mm.(?) non-sealed. I looking into what it would take to adapt these in place of obsolete part. I work in a machine shop so I'm going to call on a buddy for a solid I'll post my findings...

I'm not sure I'd personally feel easy about using an adapted bearing though. It would presumably mean adapting either the wheel or the bearing itself? So far, nobody has actually been stuck and, a little bird tells me, some XSives have an impressive supply squirrelled away........collectively, I'd say we're going to be OK.

Anyway, back to my favourite subject these days.....my new project that will be collected tomorrow! I'll be putting a new bearing in the wheel immediately, as it's not been used regularly since 2005......
