    Hummm,
From what I can gather from all the postings, is that it happens on the swirly wheels, and happens when the o-rings get worn or deteriorated.
The straight spoke wheels use the same 0-rings, so why don't they exhibit the same problem?
It sounds like it is either the metal to metal contact between the hub and wheel slipping (stiction, )when the wheel compresses the rubber bushings as the wheel rotates, or the o-ring rubber slipping and causing the noise, although that doesn't sound likely.
I'm getting ready for a trip to the left coast next week, (I'm riding the XS, not the XJ), so I don't have time to investigate until I get back, but if you delve in, be sure to post results. And the sizes given for the 0-rings don't look right for metric sized rings, so there is that problem. They may be special sized one for OEM use.
Anyway, I wouldn't park it, but I wouldn't plan any long trips, and if it gets worse, quit and fix. CZ

      no safety issues,,

as far as my investimagations took me, the o-ring against the wheel casting is the one creating the click,

there is no way this will cause a safety issue,{it,s not in the bearing housing of the wheel} all that may occur is a small wear pattern where they touch will develop over a long period of time, but with a new o-ring will be stopped in it,s tracks,

since the making of the video, we have done the best part of 15000klm {some 2 up and solo} with out so much as a peep out of it

my reccommendation is replace both o-rings for the princely sum of 2 bucks and see if that fixes your noise

      for those that feel the need ,, o-ring sizes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,3.5 x 40.7,,,,,,,,,,& 3.1 x 58.4mm
the only I will add, is buy both o-rings in the 3.5 mm section

        Ahh, there's the rub.
My seal supplier only lists diameters in even metric sizes.
Were those sizes a special OEM size?

Stangely enough, today there was no clicking after a ten mile ride, so the fix is not top priority. But thanks for the update, and where did you buy seals for 2 bucks?

Thanks for the offer, mate, but to save postage, I'll try the ones I got at Rocket Seals. They are even mm sized, but I'll see if they work.
I had the XJ out today, and the clicking is back, so when I get back from the trip, that fix is on the agenda.
If these o-rings don't fit, I'll get back to you. Thanks again for the offer.
