Sunday, I went to the store, and as I was pushing the XJ bike backwards out of a parking spot, with the engine off, I heard some clicking coming from the back end. With the bags and tail box on, it was hard to get a better location of the noise. I rode it home, and turned off the engine, and pushed it forward, and got the same sound.
It is sort of random, 4-8 per wheel revolution, and sounds like a twig against some spokes on a bicycle.
So the question is, for those of you who have had a left side rear bearing go out, what sort of indications were there that it was bad?
James? Any words of wisdom? How did you discover your bad bearing?
Thanks for any feedback, CZ
