As of today i still havent seen my bearing yet. I have checked the mail every day, it could be here today or tommorrow. I was just checking to see if you had heard of any reason that i could not make the leap across the pond or if it had been lost in the mail. Anyway im sure it will show up one of these days.

Any of these bearings still available??

Ran across your post, and since I plan on riding
my 1979 XS1100SF for many years to come. I'd like
to have some of these bearings.

        Bearing Order

Thus, if you have them I'd like the remaining 2. Are these bearings interchangable Left or Right or are these Left only?

They are left only. The right side is easily available at any bearing supply place or online.

            Bearings

Just came across this post today. Sounds like they may be all gone. But, just in case they are not I'd like to get one. Got one from your last order about a year ago I think. Got two XS's should have one more bearing. Thanks

Are you the person who sent me an international money order? If so, I tried unsuccessfully to e-mail you. I've returned the MO to you because it costs $20 here to cash it. It was for the wrong amount ($3.20 short) and also in US dollars, hence the charge at my bank. That's why it's much easier to use Paypal.

As Natemoen has pointed out, they are the rear left side bearing. The right side can be bought anywhere and they are not expensive.

If you are planning to use your XS1100 for years, then I'd say it's essential to have at least one spare bearing. My own bearing broke and I ended up paying almost $100 (or thereabouts, I recall) for a NOS one on eBay after a week or so. I was lucky, as I've been e-mailed by several XSives who bought spares from me and they were off the road completely because of bearing failure. One of them languished for 3 months (in Norway) with his bike off the road. So... wise move if you plan on keeping the bike!

                I've PM'd you......

Oh good. I'm pleased you're not the IMO person! I Just PM'd you. Occasionally, it can take 3 weeks for a small packet to get to the USA. It's been 10 working days since I sent yours, so it should be arriving soon.

OK! Yes, better to give a heads up. Out of 198 bearings sent out, only 1 failed to arrive. I'm hoping yours doesn't make it two! I must say, Royal Mail and USPS have been incredibly reliable, so I reckon your bearing will be with you soon.

My bearing showed up last nigh. I think it may have been caught up in customs since the package was open when i recieved it. But everything seemed to be there. So thanks again for all your help.
