I loved this article. Its a shame you had to sell her. Shes only a monster if you cant handel her. You have to talk the talk and walk the walk.
Yes, it was a shame. I needed a deposit for my house and had to sell. I actually had a lump in my throat when the buyer took the bike away and I couldn't watch him ride off! I still miss this bike though. I believe that teh fairing was the best for this model of XS1100... it gave great protection but didn't look boring.
XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace. Progressive front springs. Geezer regulator/rectifier. Stainless 4 into 2 exhaust. Auto CCT (Venturer 1300) SOLD. New project now on the go. 1980 European model.
Thanks for sharing that James. I have seen many of the other write ups on the XS11 but that was new to me. Perhaps there are more write ups that are Euro related that we have not seen as of course, this is a predominately US/Canadian site. If you happen on any more I would appreciate seeing them.
2-79 XS1100 SF 2-78 XS1100 E Best bike Ever 80 XS 1100 SG Big bore kit but not fully running yet.
Couple of more parts bikes of which 2 more will live!
Nice, that pretty much covers it for me. When will they come around to our way of thinking?
I would have loved a better look at the giant tank. I just came across a company that is selling them for xs's the other day.
That is selling giant fuel tanks?
