Cracked exhaust

    I just put a set of Sportster mufflers on my XS11 Standard. They are dirt cheap on E-Bay, fit on easily and sound great (at least to me). Haven't noticed any performance issues, but I haven't explored the upper reaches of the bikes capabilities with them (yet)!

        Yeah, I have seen that thread before. But what happens between the "inlet side" pic and the second pic with the individual little pipes.

              Ah but Nick, that is now a standard exhaust which is very different from.the special exhaust.

              Both are important though.

                Nate,

                I guess I did not get a picture of that far back, but it is very similar if not the same as the Std shown. There is a total of six perimeter holes in the plate at the outlet end, three of them have the tubes in them and go to another plate near the inlet end, downstream of that baffling in my first picture. So the gasses go through the baffling, into the tubes, to the outlet end, down through the three holes without tubes into that center chamber, and forced out the center short tube to exist the muffler.
