I never buy seafoam for more that 6.50 a can. NEVER buy it at auto parts stores! They price gouge. I buy it at home improvement store or most commonly at farm stores (i.e. Tractor Supply, Farm and Fleet, Fleet Farm etc. etc.) regular price is 6.50 a can. The gallon is unfortunately priced so that it really is not worth it to buy it though at those stores.

That's because you've had your bike a while and change the oil regularly. Anyone who has a recently acquired bike, is not too good on oil changes, or does a lot of short runs with the bike where it doesn't get warmed up properly.. they could probably stand to run a bit through it, but otherwise, I agree with you. I've had some oil pans off that look like they were partially filled with tar.Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

glad to hear
i am glad someone brought this up, because i have heard of it and actually was looking at it at the local auto parts store this afternoon. I will use it in my bike this weekend, since my bike sat for about 5 years before i got it. I have had it running, but the carbs were all messed up so i havent tried to strart it since i got the new carbs. I think that the seafoam will help me alot. thanks again guys.

I haven't run Seafoam through the bike (although I have a can in the toolbox for it if I need it), but I have used it on myriad other vehicles with nothing but great results. It's not much more than naptha and light machine oil, but man it works.XS11SH :: K&N Pods, 4->1, Dynojet kit, Barnett clutch springs, TC's fuse block, ATGATT

I'm currently going to be using it on the 3 Dirt bike I acquired Last weekend. They sat in a storage unit for 4 years with gas still in the carbs
Unfortunately even seafoam couldn't get the blockage out of the tiny pilot jet in the TTR-90 (size 12.5 pilot) so I had to remove the bowl on that one and am waiting for a new pilot jet to show up. What ever is stuck in there is not wanting to come out
I've got the XR400 running but flooded the hell out of it tonight and pretty sure the plug is badly fouled. Seeing as I don't have the special thin walled 18mm plug socket (as the factory tool kit is missing) I'm now waiting for that tool to show up now to rectify that situation
and The PO's kid had broke the key off in the ignition of the X250 and the petcock leaks when turned on so I'm awaiting parts for that one.
Once all the stuff I need shows up I can get the resurrection of these 3 bikes underway and of course seafoam will be in the gas tank and I'll run some with the old oil before dumping it for fresh oil.
I'm SOOOO glad my kids talked me into Dirt BikesDon
