Dang, you've all impressed me with your knowledge and helpfulness! I absolutely appreciate it! Regarding the inline fuel filters, I was warned bya buddy that it might slow the bik down a bit especially since I hae two on there, and so far I've experienced only that. Just a minor loss of power. Also as far as cold weather goes, I'm in cali, its march and is about 78 degrees outside, so extreme cold isn't. Normally a problem, but I appreciate the concern about using plastic for fuel lines and will keep an eye on them. Also thanks for the links and such!
Hey Everyone! does this look like a ridiculous mod to bypass the octy unit?!?!

If you use the double walled automotive style fuel line though you often will end up with bits of the inner lining flaking off each time you connect and disconnect the lines and then clogging up the carbs.personally, I don't like clear plastic for fuel lines. In the cold, they become stiff (and probably brittle). The connections assume a memory, and flexing doesn't leave room for a good seal. There's a reason they use rubber for fuel lines, and if there's any place where you want to play it safe, it's with gasoline. I know, I'm a 16 veteran firefighter and EMT. Gasoline isn't a fire, it's an explosion that you don't have time to escape from. JMHO.
The likely-hood of the filters slowing you down is not true. There are some guys here that only run 1 petcock for all four carbs and also run a filter and there is no trouble from it.Dang, you've all impressed me with your knowledge and helpfulness!
