    Thanks Guys but I'm thinking new vs old. She's 33 now and I'd hate to piss her off. I've use many used parts and had probs with other vehicles. Thx Jerry

      It's your choice of course. Given an unlimited choice I would of course do the same, but as you have seen that doesn't appear to guarantee a good part. The only new parts I have put on Brutus have been tires, filters, bearings and spark plugs (so far everything else has been used, as what else is a 33 year old bike but a collection of used parts? And these regulators are completely solid state, I've not bought a new one for either one of my bikes yet and have gotten good used ones for both of them on the first try so far). The used part could also be a temp fix until you can afford the nice new Geezer reg that you would like too you know.
