Anyone got a parts source for the washers that fit above the seals in the fork lowers?

They come with the LeakProof seal kit, also comes with the snap rings. I've made my own washers before by grinding down a slightly larger washer.

They are a brand of fork seal. The picture doesn't show the snap rings, pretty sure it comes with them. If you call DK they can probably tell you for sure, they are helpful.

I am pretty sure that I have a set here. I am not sure if they are out of a standard or a special or if it matters. If the leak proofs have them then you may be better getting them from there but the 2 I have are in good shape.

Standard seals won't fit a special. They are slightly larger.

Not sure, I never tried. The standard seals are just slightly larger OD but I think the washers have a little leway.

If anyone has measurements I can check these to see if they would fit. Need to head in the house as the wife is bitchin but I do have a set. Just not sure which they are.

The Special's washers should be about 47.5MM, the seal OD is 48MM. Standard washers will probably not work, the seal OD on those is 49MM.

                      I'll go with

the leek proofs, as they come with the washers. Snap rings are still available. Now all I have to do is save my lowers. Man the water problems with this bike were everywhere. Everything I looked into had rust. I'm not sure how I'm going to perform this but I have two dremel kits so I'm sure there is an attachement here that will clean out the slots good enough to see how bad they're pitted. I'm hoping the slot for the seal remained intact. tThanx for the directions. I'll get back in a couple days and let you know how I made out. (TOMORROW IS VALENTINES DAY, can't go out to the shop)
