    There really is nothing to worry about with used in this situation. You dont even need a gasket, just use some RTV gasket maker instead.

        Something mentioned earlier, and I am curious as well... I have a Virago cct ready to install that I got off ebay.

        If the new auto cct is longer, and the stock unit is close to or at the end of adjustment, can the longer auto cct cause any issue with putting too much adjustment into the chain in terms of pushing the chain in too far?

          IIRC, a few years back, trbig or someone was showing that even tho these self adjusters can be a tad longer and extend a bit farther, it's not enough to cause any interference or excessive working curves of the chain.

            I just ordered the raptor 660 one. Mine has the runny nose, and I have worrying about tension as I have had valve issues due to CCT failure before so, its on the way!
