I've seen this asked a few times so since that's what I did yesterday I figure it couldn't hurt. After you have cleaned everything, mouse nests etc
1. Start by laying out all your components
2. Attach side trim/mouldings
3. Put in numbers 1 & 4 velocity stacks
4. lossely attach frame brackets with short screws only
5. Insert and attach crankcase breather hose manifold
6. Insert 2&3 velocity stacks
7. Insert long screws and spacers
8. Fit upper bracket by slipping the rear portion in first the push out on the long side until it falls in flush with upper box rim. A little dexterity and patience is require here as you have to ensure the top of the spacers and screws line up with the fitted nut holes in the bracket.
9. Take a small flat tipped screw driver and work around the edges of the snorkle until it fits into the slotted groove of the bracket
10 Secure the bracket to the upper airbox with the clamp and two screws
11 Insert wing nuts and keepers into the airbox lowwer and test fit the two halfs
If you find that there is a larger than acceptable gap between the two halfs, then just remove the wing nuts and grind them shorter by an 1/8 th or so. Dont forget to put a nut on them first as grinding will mess up the starting threads. Removing the nut restores the threads.
