    Hey Nubian,

Here's a recent thread with some photos, but no # showing, but James England is the one that has one, so hopefully he'll see this and post it for you!

PS, good thing yours is a Standard, the thread states that the Micron won't fit on a special.

PS, A little more research found this site started in 2006 selling Italian Imports FBs!

This is for the Standard, they have a different one for Specials.
NOTE: the number on the bottom is 185 for the mm's separating the fork tubes! Might be similar number on the Micron??
And as stated, 37mm for fork tube diameter!

I'll go and have a look at mine and post back asap. My Micron is definitely unmodified... not sure if there are any numbers on it though...

There's no number stamped on mine! I've looked under the brace, on the collars etc and there is no sign whatsoever of a number. I did think that I'd never seen a number on it. Where would you say the number should be, by the way?

Well I wound up with two. Don't ask
The first one I triple checked it's application since there was a model # on it (57G) and it was supposed to fit. It left a unexpected gap in the clamps, so I jumped on another that was specifically taken off a XS11, low and behold same model # and fit.
This is what it looks like, I don't want to tighten more so I don't strip the threads, the gap is a little under 2mm, but I did notice that Mr. James England has got what seems like a much smaller gap on his.

Yes, there is a smaller gap on mine but I really don't think a slightly larger gap will make any difference, if everything is tightened up and clamped tightly....

is your fender bent at all? i had that problem with my last bike and it threw the whole handling of the bike off and i noticed that it changed the gap between the forks too.
1979 xs special, just finished the top end rebuild and then i still have lots of work.
                  progress thus far...

Very good point! As i've always noted in the past that there is a slight twist to the fender towards the front. Will look into it.
                    Thanks
