  • any body use progressive springs?

    hay guys got my forks down and replacing seals and thinking about a set of progresive springs , looking for any pros and cons from some one allready been down that road! thanks ken

    Yep, I use them, they are a definite improvement over the stock units. They still might be a little on the soft side depending on your weight and riding style. Switching to a heavier fork oil (15W or 20W) will also help in conjunction with the progressive springs.

      I put them in my SF. It took a while to appreciate it but I def would not go back.

        I'm a straight rate fan myself. With the correct spring, the ride is superior. I got mine custom wound from Traxxion Dynamics. I'm very happy.

          In my case watching the forks dive a little more at slower speeds seemed different.(at high speed I'm kinda busy). Then I realized that early soft bounce translated into a softer seat . So I'm sold.JMO

            the rub for me was to get the proper laden sag, I run out of spring too quickly and the ride is very harsh.

              I have progressive's in my 79SF and I can absolutely say that it handles better than any of my other bikes. A bit to pricey to have them in all my bikes though. I would say yes indeed if they are in your budget range!!
