If you scan through the thread, both Eveready and I have gotten ours in. He hooked his up to a battery direct in an extra headlamp setup he has and tested it, and found it wanting that way. I hooked mine up on my bike, and found that it only worked on low beam, and rather dismally at that.

So, it won't work as a headlight, just doesn't put out a fraction of the light needed.

The vendor actually gave me half my money back without me having to send the bulb back, which seems fair to me since it would cost me half what I paid to send it back, and I still have it to play with.

You can ask me how I know. I tried the thing. I was alarming how little I could see with that thing in my headlight bucket. Sure did lower the load on the electrical system though .

It'd be really handy to have one mounted in a portable housing of some sort to use as a breakdown light. Just plug it into the accessory socket and away you go.

I'm still looking at a way to get the H3's mounted in my driving lights. Going to attack the housings with a Dremel to get the bulbs to fit in there.

          refund, yes

In my travails with the led s from HK, which is explained above, I discovered that the sellers are fairly quick to refund, but they ask you to change any neg to positive, and since, I wanted to OUT them, I would not. They did get a little testy when I told them no. The only way I was gonna change it is if they sent me one that actually worked, never heard from him again. So be it, sell proven junk to me and waste my time, I neg them. Ebay has way too many of those guys.

I don't give ANY feedback until after I've gotten a completed transaction, including any refund. Then and ONLY then do I provide feedback as is appropriate.
