    First one of these I've seen....

    Apparently Yamaha sold these as a weld-on replacement. Looks to have been built post-81, as it appears to have one of those add-on EPA plates riveted to it...

      That might have been nice get before I sold off what was left of my wrecked bikes exhaust. But then, putting that on the right would have made my really good looking left side all of a sudden look like crap.

        I have 2 of them. These were the ones I was asking about the brass adapters. I found that I could take 1 1/2" inside muffler adapter and a 1 3/4" outside adapter, slide them inside each other, and they would allow me to use the clamps on my header pipes to install them. The part #'s aren't quite the same because they are for a Special. The ones I have are in really good shape after I wiped all the crud off the chrome.
