Alaskan barn find -80 Midnight special

Finally got some pics. The bike is all original with 3900 miles on the clock. Runs exc. Tank is shiny clean inside - no carb issues. Everything works. Stored over 20 years in heated garage. Seat is exc. Some wear on the black chrome handlebars and elsewhere, but really nice overall. Runs and drives great. Check it out. Hope I'm posting these pics correctly.

Holy Crapola!!! That is the most amazingly nice bike I have ever seen that was not still in a crate or a show room!!! You most definitely exagerate to say it was stored in a barn!! It was in a climate controlled envelope of some type, and somehow protected form the salt air that about everywhere in Alaska!!

Mike put this bike up for sale on craigslist and I snatched it up right away. I have progressive fork springs, Tkat fork brace, progressive 412 rear shocks, Dunlop K491s, and a slipstreamer windshield on the way. This week will be spent changing out all of the fluids, greasing, and inspecting everything. Next week updating the suspension, installing the windshield, and putting some miles on it.

just as a heads up, that grease zerk on the rear of the swing arm tube is worthless. You need to pull the final drive off and put the grease on the spines by hand.

Thanks natemoen. Any other quirks not covered in the tech articles on this site? I have the service manual downloaded and am finding that very handy (nice being able to search terms)
