Yep, I bought a set for Thunderstruck (pre-wreck and parts bike) and had the brake systems pulled off of Banshee for cleaning when they arrived. So I compared the lines (since both are SH models). On the special models, the line from the front MC to the splitter has the ends turned 90 degrees offset. Same for the rear brake line. None of the lines in the kit have a 90 degree offset. So I wrote to him next day, said I do not think they will fit and explained the ends situation, but have not tried them. He said no problem, try them when I have time and he will take care of any issues.
So a week or two later perhaps it warmed up and I went to change them out. Only way to get the lines from the MC to work is to remove the MC, hook the line up to it and use the MC for the leverage to twist the line and remount the MC. Same for front and back lines. Now, I am a risk taker to some extent, but I do not like the thought of all that torque on my brake lines just trying to twist the line out of its end while I am riding at 70 on the superslab or through some twisties. So I wrote to him again. He said send the lines back and he will replace them. Well....after many months of emails and ebay messages and filling out his selection sheet from the mfg of the lines to give him the exact fittings and layout of the lines including lengths, I have yet to this day to receive the lines. I have sent several emails and several ebay messages asking if he got my lines and where the replacements are. No responses form him. So, I got TWO SS brake lines for the $80 price tag. And alot of hassle.
Now, several other folks here have bought the lines and had them work. They may have non stock (buckhorn) bars, I was using stock bars. They may have standards, and the lines should work for a standard up front as the MC is not turned as far. So as the old saying goes YMMV. Obviously, I would not ask the him for change of a dollar let alone buy anything from him again.
