Psycoreefer did his by hanging the bike from the garage rafters by the front end, so he could do the fix standing/sitting with the trans right at face level. It seems to me that this would be the easiest way to do it, and the way I'm likely to try and use if I have to do this (that said, my current engine has not exhibited the issue although the original did, but it's bad rod bearings caused me to use the simpler fix of replacing the gears by replacing everything else around them at the same time )
I'm told the other one I have sitting in my garage has not exhibited the problem either, but we'll see how it goes when it finally goes in, whenever that is.
