MikesXS coil numbers?

    people told me just to go with the green coils as the black ones tend to have problems, where do i get plugs with resistance if i get the non-resistor caps? and are they more expensive?

      Any auto parts store should be able to get either type of plugs. I have usually found the non resistor on the shelf but resistor plugs you have to ask for or order.

        Then i'm just gonna go with 5k caps, just to make life easier and to avoid anybody from just throwing a non-resistor type in there if a plug were to foul out or something

          I have found it easier to get resistor plugs, as most cars use them in addition to the resistance of the plug wires, but I have also found every auto parts store I have checked with to have the non-resistor plugs as well, and since that's factory, I too stick with the resistor caps and non-resistor plugs.

          Personally I have seen several on here that have been running the black coils for some time, and then some who had problems, but I've seem a few with green coil problems too, so I'm figuring black and keep all my stock parts in case I have to revert.

            i haven't heard anything bad about the green coils but i haven't been on the site for too long either so that might be the reason

              Oh, don't get me wrong, the green coils apparently have a lower failure rate, but since I can fit a set of black coils into my budget, but not a set of green coils, I'll be going with the black ones and take my chances. I understand the black ones are easier to get mounted up too, so for the moment that's gonna be my choice.
