Glad to see someone that thinks the "looks" of these bikes is part of the class they have. Yes, there are lower restrition air flow filters out there and lower back pres. exaust. Yamaha could have done both easy. Rember how they set QTR records and many firsts doing it this way?

Nice bike! glad to see you kept the stock air box look. Not saying you cant make one faster with mods, the record qtr mile time was set in its day with an 1100 very modified. Just saying these bikes were great the way yamaha designed them also JMHO

Back in 1978, Yamaha having produced the worlds quickest production bike in the 1320 was done on showroom stock scoot, not modified. The only mod was the rider, PeeWee Gleason who rode all manufacturers bikes for top 1/4mile times. Think he was 125lbs. and definitely could make a scoot scoot down the tarmat!
81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.
