I'm having a problem syncing the carbs on my 81 special. I know when cleaning the carbs the idle ports have to be given the needed attention. When I sync the carbs I have to crank the idle adjust screw way too many revs to get the idle to 1000. Then after revving up the engine it takes a while before the idle returns to 1000. I'm guessing I didn't get the idle ports clean in one or more carbs.
Question: Where do the three holes in the carb go? I know one goes through to the pilot screw. Where do the other two originate if different? How can I confirm that the passages are clean? Thanks!
