could someone layout (picture would be awesome) the order of the parts in the rear master cylinder? bought a kit, but don't recall seeing the little washer when I took it apart. does it really go against the part with the little holes and then the seal over the washer? And it seems like the little metal boot next to the spring could go either way. Everything is spotless but no fluid is moving into the line. that little washer (not the one that is cutout) must serve a purpose to create pressure.

Here's an exploded view from the Yamaha Parts web site found in the links section! You can click on it to view it larger!

Thanks, I have seen some exploded views like this but they are still not clear on the little washer. the rebuild kits come with them but I'm wondering if it's an "extra" part that is not used. the one photo looks like the part with the hood goes over the spring and not the plunger.

            Little Washer

The small thin washer goes on top of the top seal. It sets below the cup that holds the bottom of the spring. Just got done working on mine.

Yes it covers up the little holes on the end of the plunger.

Thanks a million. I put together the last time as you described but wasn't sure it was right so this saved me from taking it apart one more time.
