I can't imagine any pipe cleaners being small enough to get into those tiny holes. Usually, carb cleaner and compressed air is all that is needed. Possibly, a single strand of wire might help too.1980 XS850SG - Sold
1981 XS1100LH Midnight Special (Sold) - purchased 9/29/08
Fully Vetterized and Dynojet Kit added, Heated Grips, Truck-Lite LED headlight, Accel Coils, Irridium plugs, TKAT Fork Brace, XS850LH Final Drive & Black SS Brake lines from Chacal.
Here's my web page devoted to my bike! XS/XJ User's Manuals there, and the XJ1100 Service Manual and both XS1100 Service manuals (free download!).
Whether you think you can, or you think you cannot - You're right.

Harbor Freight Tools has a set of airgun brushes that are pretty small. About $4.99 if I remember correctly.
Thought I should use a universally recognized item for a size reference.RIP Whiskers (Shop Boss) 25+yrs

I have not used these brushes with carb cleaner. The thought just came to me that Gumout or something like it may just melt the bristles. Would be a safer bet to test that first before running the brush down inside the carb with a big squirt of cleaner.RIP Whiskers (Shop Boss) 25+yrs
