            Hi Rick,
Apparently the mufflers are to be installed. Do we need them this Saturday? Cables should be here by then.

Could'nt hurt Phil. But we still have some work to do on the pipes.
I put your carbs and tank on it yesterday and some put on new fuel and vacuum hoses and inlne filters. My plan is to do the float adjustments today and install the air box. We could use an air filter.
Tomorrow I'll recheck the head bolt torque and the valve lash and timing chain slack adjustment.
By the end of the week the carbs should be sync'd and engine tuned.
Saturday we can check the clutch plates, work on the pipes and install the cables and flush the brake lines. If we have time we can drop the oil, filter and pan. And of course there's always cosmetics.
Is that a light I see at the end of the tunnel?

and we did do some work too
More wirewheel , sanding and sawing for Phil while Rick worked on fabricating header to muffler connection.
Two trips to Canadian Tire for the gopher.
James could not be there so nothing got hammered to day

Picture shows how nicely the rusted rotor cleaned up. Rick insists the fork lowers are only "cleaned" not polished

It would be difficult to get more Canadian than that pic unless there was maple syrup on a beavertail and a steaming bowl of poutine.
Lakeport beer is brewed in Hamilton and caesar's are the most popular coctail in the country and was invented out west.

Beg to differ with Phil though. Phil and I both got hammered BECAUSE James wasn't there.

                          • Sidetracked

Well we got a little sidetracked with other things for a while but Tinman built a muffler extension with crossover for the exhaust. The extension was used to move the fat boy mufflers back to a more stock position and a crossover pipe to aid tuning and provide some low pressure behind the exhaust valves.
Just a couple of valves to reshim and some soldering and shrink tubing pickup wires today.
Saturday we hope to finish installing the exhaust system and tune the bike to Phil's carbs.
A test ride is within site. Happy Birthday Phil.
