Yep, Like I said, WAY COOL , and it's probably the most unique way of veiwing parts I've seen in a very long time. You're right about the beer, I drink Steinlager, but it usually makes me "one eyed" long before being cross eyed http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7m...ath_shortfilms
I've PM'd you for the links. Is the sepia tone a nessecary step or just your preference ?

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

      b.walker5,

The sepia isn't intentional: the carbs really look that bad. I bought 2 additional racks of used carbs to make my test bank. Combined the best bodies with the best parts and cleaned/adjusted them for the the actual test bank. Combined the worst with the worst and those are the carbs in the pics: a tribute to murphy's law or the carb "Hall of Shame" depending on how you wanna look at it.

Pics were shot without a flash. (Flash causes something called "twin sun effect.") Lighting was a couple of 20 watt incandescent clip-on task lights. Prob'ly didn't help matters that there was wood everywhere to reflect light back on to the carbs.

Just the "perfect storm" of all those factors happening at the same time: not intentional or preferred.

        Stinky

Hi Lee. As soon as I opened the box the "aroma" wafted out. It wafted so fast it hit me like a brick! I had to immediately take the box and bag of carbs out to the garage.

Thanks for the carbs. I sent the extra money to pay for the higher shipping cost.

          Need an address

          David,

3 things, first by carb 4 you mean farthest from the choke lever? rightmost spot when on the bike?
Second, As per cywelchjr do you still want them. The carb bodies are from a 78, so if that cross references as exactly the same as yours you are welcome to it.
          Finally, an address?

          Regards,
          Scott

            carb body swap

            I installed a carb body from a '81 XS650 on my '80 XS11 Special. I'm still struggling with it.
