        Search for mikes XS coils.
There is a recent thread on the conversion.
Maybe add green in the search.

so here is the list i came up with....i am hoping to buy and ship everything only once....best laid plans, right? but that is the hope.

            am i missing anything?

Part #17-6810 (I need two of these) coils
Part #23-2906 (I need two sets of these) spark plug wires
Part #17-6830 (I need two sets of these) coil tower boots
Part #17-6831 (I think i need these, and two sets if I do) high tension wire ends
Part #23-3113 (do I need 4 of these? I have 4 on my bike, but I have two different styles now, I don't know why) resister spark plug cap.

does that sound like it? have a great thanksgiving to everyone!!!

            thanks so much!!!

MikesXS doesn't sell the correct plug caps for the #2 + #3 cyls. of the 1100, as they are longer and angled differently. The Mikes P/N 23-3113 is correct for cyls. 1+4. The NGK P/N for cyls. 2+3 is XB05F. Cyl 2+3 NGK P/N is LB05F.

A few folks like myself have put the MIkesXS 90 degree caps on their 2-3 plugs without any problems. Depending on how long you run your plug wires, they may LAY on the head when using the 90 degree boots. However, you could also harvest the extra protective sleeve off of the old wires to put over the new ones so that they wouldn't get rubbed IF they end up laying on the head!

I'm running the 90 deg ngk caps on all 4 like TC said.No problems, and yes I can tell the difference between the green xs and the stock coils.I also use the irodiam plugs.(sp?)If you go with the high output coils don't forget to remove the resister.

                          Where to find plug caps?

Bike bandit seems to have both kinds. But their $6 shipping is a little too much for $14.00 items. Amazon/ebay are worse. Autozone and Kraagen had no clue when I told them the NGK part numbers.

Do you know who have them at a physical location?

Go to a NAPA parts store. They should be able to get them for you! Make sure you DO NOT get the "stock" style caps. You want the cap that keeps the end on the spark plug, so you can use ANY type of plug.

I went to Napa parts to try and get some and they looked at me like I was crazy. That is especially strange as my Yamaha dealer said that is where they get them because the yamaha parts are too expensive.
