    it doesn't hold much gas. i am not real sure how many gallons it holds but i usually can go about 100 miles before i have to switch to reserve. i wish t would go further, but by that time i usually have to get off and stretch my back.

      i made the plate to cover the battery and all the wires. the seat bolts to the plate, then the plate bolts to the bike. this gives it a nice look. i will take some pics of this setup today. i got the bike out of storage last week, go spring weather!

        Nice job. It's good to see other people who like to fab. I'm not as talented as you but I'm working on it. If my painting was better mine might look good too.

        I've saw a lot of people flip their license plate side ways, looks great how it is just thought i'd throw it out there.

          Well, you will just have to wait for the pictures before you nail me and the idea to the cross.
          Why not just remove both bolts, put the center stand on the shelf in your garage, when you need it take it off the shelf, bend down, insert two bolts, stand up and lift bike onto center stand. That is what I do, takes about 30 seconds to put it on for service, the nuts aren't really needed as long as your not trying to drag the bike around on the stand. Plus if you ever go back stock you don't have a messed up centerstand to deal with.

                  I see this post is older but maybe I'll still get a reply Did you ever take the pics of the plate that bolts to the bike frame and how the seat bolts to that? I would also like to change from my normal seat to a solo seat and want to do it without cutting and welding if possible. How'd you do it man? are those apes really only 12''? Look alot higher! SWEET BIKE BRO!

                  Erotic = using a feather
                  Kinky = using the whole chicken
