If you ask me (which I know you didn't but your gonna get it anyway)If you do anything to increase the fuel presure to that extent, your going to most likely over power the float seat valves and or floats and shove to much fuel into the bowl which will work like having bad float needle valves dumping fuel into the engine, the air box, and making the bike so rich you would lose all power and foul out the plugs. JMHO For a running bike, it sounds like a loose loose situation to me.

After my earlier post on this thread and my supposition as to the potential use for such a pump, I did some reading on the nitrous systems. It seems that a "wet" system uses an auxiliary fuel pump to create a fog like mixture of fuel and NO2, the NO2 by itself will lean the mixture out more so than I had thought so the secondary fuel pump is somewhat necessary in order to maintain a proper mixture. there are other ways to fatten the mix to compensate for the NO2, but I didn't bother reading them as I got bored because I have no intention of adding a NO2 boost to my ride (it's fast enough for me as is ). they don't call it a "fuel dump pump", but an auxiliary fuel pump. and it does throw a good bit of fuel into the mix @ WOT. so I'm sticking with my original theory, it's part of an NO2 system, you don't need it on your XS unless.....
