Has anyone changed out the inner race when changing the bearings? My inner race has flat spots.

Yes, the races must be changed if they have flat spots. They're a bit tricky to get out. If you first clean the grease out of the steering stem, you can look down in there and see 2 access points where a tool such as a drift will fit in against the race. Drive them out from these points. It's a bit tricky to get the right angle, so have patience.2H7 (79) owned since '89

Shoot, I coulda' sworn there were lower ones too. I did 2 of them not too long ago. Do you use any lock-tite on the outer side of the race when installing the new ones so they don't rock?2H7 (79) owned since '89
