    Good job

    My neighbourhood genius bike mech soldered this very thing for me and then we coated it in epoxy .

        Wow-Bought the sender unit off e-bay and it arrived 2 days later.I was going to hook it up tomorrow, but figured it was going to rain so i did it today.Installed tank and started bike and took 2 minutes but the light went on.Now i can go for a ride and not have to keep opening the tank to see the fuel level.

          Just so you have a yardstick, I get about 110 miles before reserve on regular gas with my 1980 MNS. You should be able to get at least 100 miles of "normal" riding on a tank.

            Yup

            I second what DiverRay said. I get exactly the same about 110 to 115 before the light comes on and then it usually takes about 3 gallons to fill it so the light comes on when you have a gallon left. You'll probably find that it will begin to cough and sputter at just about the same time so I switch to reserve when the light comes on as well and then get to a station before my 35 miles is up!
