      Works for me

Pastor, I was able to pull it up by part numbers.

But I guess I ain't as cute or lucky as Eddie, they want ME to pay $43.48 for the boot and $4.32 and $5.61 for the springs.

        Got it

Hey! I got it to work. I needed to eliminate the # and the space after the part number. Duh! Still cheaper at the site I suggested though...

          Rubber Boot on Driveshaft

I did it too by part # and got the $43.48 price also.
I then went in the hard way and got the $29.31 price.

Here is how to get in the hard way:
          Go to www.servicehonda.com

Click on the "Advance OEM parts look up system"

Scroll down the page almpst all the way and click on "Click here to begin".

          Click on "Connect"

On the upper left ckick on "open catalog" (your cursor should tell you which one)

          Select "Yamaha"

          Select "Motorcycle"

          To the right, select "find"

          Enter "XS1100"

          Select your Year / Model

I found the boot under "E-6" Rear arm Suspension

Double click on the parts list to the right and the item will appear below with the price of $29.31.

I hope this is more helpful than previous posts. I should learn to type faster some day!

That's a great price! Weird that it's different depending on how you access it. That must mean that they somehow have two databases or they have not updated the price in all the places that it's listed. Hopefully, they'll honor the lower price. Thanks for all the work on that, LuckyEddie!

I called the 800 number for sevicehonda.com and they told me that the price is 43.48 for the boot. It is Yamaha's fault for not updating the price on the CD ROM that is sent to them every 6 months or so, and sometimes they skip over some parts listed. Mark, the sales rep. I talked to said it looked like they haven't updated that part for a couple years.

                    Parts source

I've been buying a lot of parts here:

                    www.yamahasportscenter.com

Look up the part numbers you need first. Parts come in about 10 business days. I haven't been able to find a less expensive source.
