When living in Arizona I ran BP7ES as daytime temps often went well over the 100 deg. F mark. Here in Colorado I went back to the stock BP6ES. Have found that some ignition problems, or poor performance, can be traced back to bad ground connections and internal corrosion in the battery cables. I would replace battery cables and clean all ground points before experimenting with other plugs or alternate coils. Not that these things won't be an improvement, but you should have a good baseline from which to start.

"... the spider just sits back and waits..."
He's bored... hungry... watching as cautious flies, like Ivan, buzz past.
But he knows... that sooner or later... some other insect will become ensnared in his trap...
Some unwary member will write in...
"Hey Prom, I watch 'Dancing with the Stars', too. Aren't the costumes fabulous?"
And then... the trap is sprung...
There is no escape...
The victim will soon be mocked to death!"Damn it Jim, I'm a doctor, not a mechanic!' ('Bones' McCoy)

I just thought it was funny for someone to talk about people being screwed up in the head, and then saying they were going to watch dancing with the stars.
Once again my sense of humor is only funny to me. Maybe I should join Prom in watching DWTS.81 Black "1179" Xcessively trick Super Special. One owner (me).

"Frotteurism by any other name is..."
Dancing.
Dan... let me help you.
Why suffer the indignity of rejection...
The heartbreak of ...a broken heart.
Dancing...
Bah!
When I feel the need to have a female partner... to feel a woman's body pressed next to mine...
I just ride a crowded subway.
Sure... there's no music and they don't serve cocktails afterwards...
but there's always an attractive selection of women to choose from.
Not much "dancing" involved... but it's quite pleasurable... until they start slapping you.
Just something you might want to consider."Damn it Jim, I'm a doctor, not a mechanic!' ('Bones' McCoy)

I live with four women. My wife and three teenage daughters.
I have been ever so politely informed that if I don't want to sleep in the cold, I should control my involuntary projectile vomiting during DWTS.
To quote my six year old son when he was watching DWTS:
"This show SUCKS! Its been FIVE WHOLE MINUTES and NO EXPLOSIONS!"
I couldn't have put it more elegantly my self.
Oh, and so as not to hijack the thread any farther, I use spark plugs with white insulators.Ich habe dich nicht gefragt.

Getting back on topic, I use Bosch Platinum plugs when I can find them. The tend to only be a buck or 2 more than NGK plugs and they perform better (not much) and seem to last longer. Since I don't like changing plugs more than I have to, it's worth the price.

I dont care I just put them in
If you want more mile's or performance just depends greatly on how you ride, nothing to do with the sparkplug if your gaps to big it will no doubt put a load on your coils, so having the plug gap set right in the first place is a good idea........ cant put me hand on my folder at the moment, if I could I would tell you the correct gap.
There are also a number of plug make's to choose from, most important it is rated to the engine spec, wont give you more miles.
when the good fella's make these machines they put a load of research in to them, best to having the carbs set right in the first place, but thats another subject.
Enough said
