I vote Dielectric grease as a proven corrosion barrier. I use Vaseline on gaskets to soften them and on door hinges to lubricate them, but have never used it on an electrical connection. I suppose that it would work, can't think of any bad effects.

first things first

So I got the new harness and installed TC's fuse box, and then I used 3phase's new color wiring diagram and took a red sharpie and labeled all the connectors to make this as painless as possible. next thing is to clean all the connectors and use dielectric grease in all the female connections , and yes dielectric grease does promote connection so dont be messy. then do the same on my bike .

Dielectric grease is a nonconductor. Slather it wherever you want. It won't hurt anything. It is used to seal a connection not enhance conductivity. It enhances the conductivity by sealing out corrosion. It also helps to lube and seal rubber so it doesn't stick as in spark plug boots.

all i have done is label the new harness and change the fuse block , I'll probably start tomorrow on the rest

Well I took out the old harness and cleaned and greased all connectors on my bike I only had to replace one connector so I could put in the 80 main switch. It looks like the right control has three wires but the plug it go's to has 5 or 6. And there seems to an extra post type connection next to the stator plug , I guess I will have to trace it down with both wiring schematics
