    Axel:

Of course you are right, Di-electric meaning anti-electric as the dielectric constant used in capacitors arithmetic. My mind was on "No-OX" a battery connector coating that is conductive while discussing dielectric grease. My bad.

          garthxs :

I vote Dielectric grease as a proven corrosion barrier. I use Vaseline on gaskets to soften them and on door hinges to lubricate them, but have never used it on an electrical connection. I suppose that it would work, can't think of any bad effects.

            its here!

Just got my new wiring harness from andreas , I think I'll have to take on a final ride before I tear out the old one. I will take pics of the step by step

              routing of the harness ..

Garth, I have the manual that shows the routing of the harness legs ... lemme know when you're gonna attempt the swap... perhaps I can get down there and give ya' a hand.

                first things first

So I got the new harness and installed TC's fuse box, and then I used 3phase's new color wiring diagram and took a red sharpie and labeled all the connectors to make this as painless as possible. next thing is to clean all the connectors and use dielectric grease in all the female connections , and yes dielectric grease does promote connection so dont be messy. then do the same on my bike .

I would sat don't worry about being messy with dielectric grease. Take a look at how I do it in this tech tip I made on my website.

Dielectric grease is a nonconductor. Slather it wherever you want. It won't hurt anything. It is used to seal a connection not enhance conductivity. It enhances the conductivity by sealing out corrosion. It also helps to lube and seal rubber so it doesn't stick as in spark plug boots.

                        Hey Garth,

Make sure you put an extra 20A and an extra 10A in the unused sockets. It's a good idea to have spares with you...

                        Party on, Garth!

                            So did it improve things?

Sounds like you did a good job.Just wondering if your electrical gremlins went away?

                                almost done

Well I took out the old harness and cleaned and greased all connectors on my bike I only had to replace one connector so I could put in the 80 main switch. It looks like the right control has three wires but the plug it go's to has 5 or 6. And there seems to an extra post type connection next to the stator plug , I guess I will have to trace it down with both wiring schematics
